BRENDAN FAHY BEQUETTE
1996 - 2022

Brendan Fahy Bequette was born in Chicago, IL and shortly thereafter relocated with his family to Albany, NY. During his high school and college years, he discovered filmmaking and photography. After graduating from Ithaca College, with a degree in cinematography and photography in hand, Brendan pursued his filmmaking passion in New York City where he worked on numerous documentary and commercial projects.

Tragically, Brendan was diagnosed with an agressive, rare mediastinal germ cell cancer that utimately took his life at age twenty-five.Through numerous radical forms of treatment, he turned to documenting the world around him. Many of the images in his book of photographs were captured during the last eighteen months of his life. Prior to his passing, Brendan was based in New York City, established as a Director of Photography and was a member of the International Cinematographers Guild IATSE Local 600 as a First Assistant Camera.
